Born in Beirut in 1982. In 2011, after collaboration with prestigious agencies, among others Ora Ito and Christophe Pillet, he began to work as a freelancer developing his own projects. In his work he draws inspiration from countries with which he is particularly connected – France and Lebanon. He is also inspired by street art. His style combines oriental and European influences with a modern twist. He is particularly into combining of various materials. He not only designs furniture, but also specialises in product and commercial objects design and decoration. In September 2011, at Paris Design Week, he presented “Docks en Seine” – the prototype of a wall cabinet. His works have been also commissioned by the BSL gallery and LaChance. Currently he collaborates with such companies as MDD, Nemo lighting, Paris Sq Quema or Habitat.
Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Politechnika Warszawska (the University of Technology in Warsaw) he is an owner of IN DESIGN studio. In his daily work he focuses on designing office spaces – both corporate and public. He takes also interest in a widely understood commercial design. He has been involved in projects among others for such companies as Canal +, HBO, T-Mobile, Abbot, Mc Kinsey, Diageo, Accenture, Connect Medica, Enea, Roche, Colliers, Akademickie Inkubatory Przedsiębiorczości. In 2012 he won a prestigious award Red Dot Design Award for the reception desk Zig-Zag designed for MDD.
Andreas Krob was born in 1969 in Niebüll located close to the border with Denmark. He studied Industrial Design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. After one semester of studying in Italy he began to work as a freelance designer undertaking orders from different international companies.
In 2002 he settled down in Switzerland and one year later he established with his wife Uta b4K - Bureau4Dimensions Krob there. The studio focuses on innovative projects in the field of design and architecture. Developed furniture and solutions are characterized by uniqueness, and also by style fostered over the years. A key aspect of b4K work is that it goes far beyond simple creating furniture.
The company pays special attention to such aspects as: the way of functioning in a space, quality and ergonomics. Each element is made with understanding of its function and significance. b4K cooperates with leading European companies crafting furniture of high quality. Besides MDD, these are: Bene, Thonet, Samas Martin Stoll, Interstuhl, Classicon, BN Office Solutions or Stilo.
Krystian Kowalski was born in Warsaw (1982) in an artistic family. He studied Product Design at Royal College of Art in London (MA 2010) and Faculty of Industrial Design at Akademia Sztuk Pięknych in Warsaw (MA 2007).
He gained professional experience when working for design studios in Warsaw, Łódź and in Milan. At Bellini studio he applied prototypes creating based methodology. Over the years 2009-2013 he co-created Kompott Studio, nominated for FX International Interior Design Award (2010) for Breakthrough Talent of the Year. Since 2013 he has been running design studio Krystian Kowalski Industrial Design.
He cooperates with leading furniture producers in the country and abroad. When designing he strives for smart solutions providing sophisticated and unobvious character of the product. His creative process is based on behaviour observations, in-depth analysis of trends and technologies choosing optimal solutions for the brand and production process. Krystian believes in a comprehensive action. He applies advanced computer technologies complemented by work with materials. Bold ideas are born In the studio with pattern shop and materialized in form of prototypes.
His works were not only exhibited among others at Mint Gallery in London, MOCAK in Cracow and at Triennale in Milan, but also published in the most important branch magazines. For MDD he designed MESH sofa and ULTRA chair and also arranged the exhibition stand for the trade fair ORGATEC 2016.
avier Cuñado was Born in Bilbao (1956). He studied there Industrial Engineering and then completed studies in Product Design at Ravensbourne College of Design in London.
In 1998 he set up Item Design studio, that is now one of the leading companies in the field of design in Spain. During nearly 30 years of its operation on the market studio developed projects in virtually all fields of design. The team led by Javier Cuñado created household appliances office furniture, electronic devices, fitness equipment and many other consumer products.
Services provided by Item Design are used not only by many domestic companies, but mainly by foreign companies. As much as 80% of contracts come from outside Spain. Besides MDD Javier Cuñado has worked or works for such brands as: Fagor, ABB, CAF or DKCITY.
Works of Javier Cuñado have received numerous prizes in recognised design competitions and for designer. These included: Eurobike 2011, Delta Awards 2013, Aixe GETXO! Design Awards 2015, i-NOVO Awards 2015 oraz GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2016.
